Winter sport on and off the slopes, downhill ski-runs suitable for all levels, many different types of terrain, seemingly endless hillsides covered in powder snow – winter in St. Anton am Arlberg is legendary and world famous. As the birthplace of Alpine skiing, the Tyrolean holiday region has a long tradition of sport.
As well as skiing and snowboarding, the winter world on the Arlberg can be enjoyed in a range of different sports. We offer cross-country skiers an approximately 40-kilometre-long network of cross-country trails, toboggan runs provide a high-speed adrenaline rush, pirouettes are executed on the ice and the ice stick is guided in the right direction on the curling sheet.

How about a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh or trudging over the crunching snow in snow shoes through the fairy-tale snowy mountain world. The winter wonderland can be admired from a totally different perspective when paragliding.
In addition, the new sport and climbing centre, arl.rock, provides opportunities for various indoor sports from squash through to tennis, and climbing with over 100 climbing routes.
For those to whom it is not too cold outside, there is the ice climbing wall. Then it is on to the Wellness Centre, ARLBERG, to warm up and relax.
When the snow melts in the mountains and the color seeps back into the countryside, one thing becomes clear;
And yet the warm season doesn't just stand for sports, it also means traditions and customs:
The people on the Arlberg have remained the same. And they love to share their pleasures in their homeland with friends from all over the world.
At the Arlberger Folk Music Day, the Village Fete, at the Alm parties or herding the cattle down from the high alpine pastures in late summer, guests glean a great deal about long-standing traditions in the region. Whoever stays long enough soaks up some of their intrinsic love of such occasions.
In summer, the landscape offers endless possibilities for exercise out in the fresh mountain air to discover all the marvels of nature: hiking, biking, mountain biking, canyoning, rafting or paragliding. Golfers meet on the six-hole course in the Nasserein district.
After a day rich in experiences, relax in the vast wellness area of the leisure and congress center ARLBERG- And inside your head, you have only one thought: Wow, is it ever fine to be here."
