Beaches in Bar
Even the fact that city of Bar is not such an famous summer resort of Montenegro as Budva, Ulcinj or Herceg Novi this does not mean that this two times award winner in ex Yugoslavia as “the cleanest city” has less two offer than other cities.
Bar together with Ulcinj are the only cities in Montenegro coast to dispose with beaches on the sea, as well as on the lace. Bar has even more beaches on the lake than Ulcinj.
Beaches in Bar are characteristic with the forests which come to the shore of Adriatic sea.
Kraljičina plaža ( Quinn beach )
This beach is placed on attractive part of Bar Riviera, near summer resort Čanj, on northern area of Bar’s Municipality coastal area. Because of the ambience this beach was the favorite once of ex Montenegrin Queen Milena during her stay in castle in Topolica.
Queen Milena didn’t go at the beach by herself, she always want there with guards of Montenegro’s King, called Perjanik, but they where in separate beaches. Queen Milena swim in Kraljičina Plaža ( Quinn’s beach ) and the guards at the beach near, now called Perjanička plaža, divided by the first one with high stones.
Čanj – Biserna obala beach
The length of this beach is 1.100 m the name means Pearls beach. Because of sand with different colours made from different materials such as sea shells, pearls, sentimental material etc. Surface of this beach is 55.000 m2.
Sutomore beach
With its length of 1.200 m, this beach represents the longest one on the area of the Municipality of Bar. Sand of this beach has curative effects, especially on rheumatic curing. The surface of this beach is 56.000 m2
Crvena plaža ( red beach )
Located on a small valley between Sutomore and Bar. Name has been given because of red colour of the sand this beach has. The legend says that on the rocks of this beach once up on a time the sea sirens where grouped and song with their beautiful voice harmed everyone who heard the. No one didn’t dare to talk about this, because as legend says that one would became deaf.

Nice and beautiful beach with length of 1.000 m and surface 55.000 m2
Gradska plaža ( city beach )
As it’s name says, this beach is located on the very centre of the the city centre with the length of 750 m right in front of hotel Topolica. This is the most popular beach in Bar. Surface of this beach is 21.000 m2.

Utjela – uvala maslina
The beach between Bar and Ulcinj, whose name Utjeha means “ hope “ length 200 m, surface 5200 m
