Beaches

When we speak about Ulcinj, than automaticly we think about beautiful nature, warm and kind people, river, lake, island of Ada Bojana, sun ... but most of all we think about long endless sandy beaches. Nowhere in Montenegro can be found such a beautiful beaches. The longest one and the most beautiful beach in Montenegro is Ulcinj's Velika Plaza. Twelve (12) km of pure and tiny sand this beach is covered with, gives impression of paradise. All this combined with the open and clean sea, the fact that Ulcinj is the sunniest city in Montenegro (alongside Hvar the sunniest in whole ex Yugoslavia) puts this place on the very top of wish list of any holiday seeker.

If there is anything on what Ulcinj is without a competition not only in Montenegro but in whole Adriatic sea coast than that are the noumerouse of natural briliance of sandy and other beaches. Apart from a rich and exceptional rich history and cultural heritage Ulcinj's beaches are something that no destination has. every city has its history, every nation has it's own rich or less rich history, but not many have that what Ulcinj has.

Ulcinj is one of the very rare cities in wider region which has on its territory the largest sandy beach in the region of 1000 km aroud it, a second lagest Lake with bird species in Europe, and so untouched river and very rich with water, as Ulcinj does.

From 32.7 km of the beaches which Montenegro has, more than 50 % of them are in Ulcinj. The most known of all of them is of course as the word says Long Beach - "Velika Plaza". the length of this wonder of the nature beach is 12.5 km and wide average around 50 m.

After the Long beach, second largest in Ulcinj, and also in montenegro Ulcinj Long Beach is the beach of island Ada Bojana, a nudist settlement, or Paradise on earth, as the guests like to call it. Ada Bojana is a natural continueted beach of Velika Plaza and it was created when the boat of Antun Allegretii from trogir sank, in the area of nowdays island. With bringing all sorts of natural material, River Bojana formed by itself around the boat a future most popular nudist settlement in Europe.

Another sandy beach which is not so large, but this doeas not mean that it is less attractive is the Small city beach called "Mala Plaza" - "Plazhi i Vogel". The Small city beach is located in the very centre beach and during the somer months it is the main area for swimming and entertainment as during the days, as well during the night.

Apart from those beaches, Ulcinj impounds with a large number of other beaches and offer s something what not so many destination do. even during the peak season, when the beaches and the city is ful, if You are a real nature lover and do not want to get mixed with may poeple, and You are looking for a nice wild beach, ulcinj with its more than 50 beaches, will be able to answer to You on that without any problem.

Ada Bojana - One among three sandy beaches in Ulcinj and second largest in Ulcinj as well. With it's length of over 2 km, Ada Bojana beach represents one of the wildest and most isolated beaches in Montenegro. Behind this beach is located nusistic settlement of Ada Bojana, consisted by hotel accommodation, pavilions and bungalows. For over 30 years this beach has been isolated and 100 % visited by nudist tourists, especially by the guests from Germany whole injoyed in Montenegro FKK Ada Bojana.
