If Croatia is diamond of eastern Europe, than Dubrovnik for sure is the most beautiful diamond of Croatian cultural heritage. The Dalmatia – Neretva county is the most sunniest tourist region of Croatia, and the old city of Dubrovnik is located in the most southern part of it. But this is not the only attractive part of this county .There are also: the island of Korčula Marco Polos birth place, a famous world traveler , than the green island Mljet, Lastovo, Elafiti the peninsula called Pelješac know by two things: a large vineyard and sea captain fine houses. The lost but not less beautiful are volley of Konavle and the delta of river Neretva.

The area of Dubrovnik as the today building can confesses went during the centuries through a distinct historical especially between centuries 13-18, and the zenith was in the 16th century. The most famous part of Dubrovnik old town which is like an artery within the wall is Stradun. Mostly, guest of the old town of Dubrovnik and tourist usually use the Luža square as their main gathering place and one of the main venues for various, event, and especially the main event of the year which is Dubrovnik summer festival. Centuries old buildings are the evidence of the importance and development of Dubrovnik in the post and especially in Medieval period dominating and buildings of Gothic-Renaissance Ducal Palace , which was the center of the authorities of Dubrovnik. And other important building of the old town are near Luža square, like: Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary, Church of St. Blasius, patron saint of Dubrovnik, built in Baroque since they where built after the catastrophically earthquake in 1667.

Of course a city with such a rich history and cultural heritage should have, as it does Dubrovnik famous museums, which by some sources attract up to 500.000 visitors a year with the most popular are the Maritime museum. Konavle A beautiful small area with a small settlement in the center called Cavtat, the birth place of Croatian Vlaho Bukovac, bordered with high mountains. In the very further west, there is located the most picturesque and unique part of Dubrovnik region, which is the River Neretva Delta, with a magnificent places like old town Opuzen.
