Sailing from Dubrovnik to the island of Korčula, the way will bring you to the peninsula of Pešeljac known by its wine – growing yards, and the lorgest settlement called Orebić, birth place of many sea captains. Korčula A sympathic Island of Dubrovnik are which is at the same time the largest one.

The symbol of Korčula is the beautiful St. Mark Cathedral which is like the most of the buildings mode in Gothic – Renaissance style. Near one of the two towns in the west of the island called Vela Laka is located the “ Vela Spila “ or in translation “ Great Care “ very rich with many objects of Neolithic period made of stone and bone, as also decoration on graves, represents the most important prehistoric locality in Dalmatia. Lastovo and Mljet Island, are some of rare cases in this area of such a rich cultural and historical heritage, which are better known by it’s natural heritage, and their symbols are: Lastovo nature park and Mljet National park.

At southeast place of Croatia and the area of Dubrovnik we have to mention and the Elafiti islands, rich with castles built ad the golden period of Republic of Dubrovnik and today also summer houses.
