Tirana
The capital of Albania. The city which changed a lot for the last 20 years. The economical and administrative centre of Albania in every meaning of the word. The begins of the city of Tirana date from 1614, and its founder Sulejman Pasha.
Life in area of today Tirana started much earlier than 1614. The first traces of live in t his area are in the area of Dajti mountain like the Paleolithic station, located in the northeast and called the Black Cave. About the nave of Tirana there are couple of opinion. Theranda Tirkan and Tyras every of this names have some feats which connect it with today name of Tirana. The main sculpture, attraction and symbol of Albania is the statue of the biggest national hero of Albania the greatest Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeg located it the square called Skenderbeg. The other attractions of the capital of Albania is also the castle Dorsi and is the evidence civilization in those areas, the Illyrian. But the number of castles in the area of Tirana is really large. The castles of Petrela, Bashtova, Preza, are also of big historical value and should not be underestimated also.
